Mr. Anand is a senior vice president and portfolio manager in the New York office, where he leads the team responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and structuring U.S. private real estate debt investments. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2018, he was with the CIM Group, a real estate investment manager, where he focused on the company’s real estate credit business and served on the Capital Markets Committee. Previously, he worked at GE Capital Real Estate, managing relationships with opportunity funds and institutional sponsors to source and structure GE's commercial real estate debt investments. He has 17 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. He received an undergraduate degree from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Mr. Chen is an executive vice president and portfolio manager in the Newport Beach office. He is the head of commercial real estate (CRE) strategy and is a member of the investment committees for PIMCO’s CRE equity and debt strategies. He has experience across all major CRE sectors, including asset and corporate investments. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2010, he was with private equity real estate firm JER Partners for 11 years, most recently as managing director and a member of the firm's investment committee. Mr. Chen previously worked in the fixed income group of Banc of America Securities. He has 22 years of investment experience and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Georgetown University.
