Hyundai Motor Co. on Wednesday unveiled The new Tucson, the partially redesigned model of its flagship mid-sized sports utility vehicle (SUV).
Tucson has been a prominent leader in the domestic SUV market since its launch in 2004. The 4th generation model was released in September 2020. The new Tucson is being showcased 3 years after the original Tucson's debut.
The new Tucson maintains the brand’s Parametic Dynamics theme which is characterized by geometric shapes and details.
The front boasts a revised grille with a sharper angle and daytime running lights integrated into the bumper. The rear features a wider skid plate seamlessly incorporated into the bumper molding.
The interior features a panoramic curved display, combining a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and infotainment system with a floating console.
The design emphasizes horizontal lines for a spacious feel. The display also runs the next generation of Hyundai's in-car infotainment system.
The new Tucson also offers new safety and convenience features including a strengthened body structure, side airbags for the rear seats, and a new active noise control system.
