South Korea’s top automaker Hyundai Motor Co. on Tuesday unveiled the facelifted design of its compact sport utility vehicle, the Tucson, which it aims to position as the newest SUV trendsetter with a taste for futuristic design.
The new Tucson, a revamp of its fourth-generation model released in September 2020, continues the parametric design theme found in previous models.
Hyundai said the partially changed model has evolved with a bold and wide exterior and a luxurious, high-tech interior design that imparts a sense of sophistication.
The front features a slim and angular image with the Parametric Jewel Hidden Lamp – the daytime running light – and the graphic radiator grille.

The rear presents a wider and more assertive impression than the previous model by horizontally expanding the bumper molding and integrated skid plate, Hyundai said.
The new Tucson’s side showcases a harmonious character with newly designed alloy wheels, giving a solid and sporty impression.
LUXURIOUS, HIGH-TECH INTERIOR
The interior emphasizes a luxurious and high-tech image through significant changes, adopting a horizontal design approach for ample space and practicality, Hyundai said.

The new SUV is equipped with a panoramic curved display that connects a 12.3-inch digital cluster and an infotainment system in a curved shape, enhancing driver visibility.
Features like an open tray and mood lamp on the board in the front passenger seat convey a lounge-like design for added comfort, Hyundai said.
The center space on the front seat has become more spacious with a column-type electronic shift lever, including a floating console that appears to be suspended in the air.
The smartphone wireless charging system and cup holders are placed in parallel for space utilization.

TWO NEW EXTERIOR COLORS ADDED
The new Tucson is available in nine exterior colors, including two new ones – pine matte green and ultimate red metallic – as well as five interior colors, including three new ones – green, black and gray.
“We added a bold and dynamic touch to the exterior design, already popular among drivers, while enhancing the comfort and versatility of the interior to the next level,” said a Hyundai official. “We expect the new Tucson to be the standard for compact SUVs.”
