Innocean's subsidiary D&G opens Brooklyn office

Innocean, a Hyundai Motor Group-affiliated advertising agency, announced on Monday that it has opened a Brooklyn office of creative subsidiary David&Goliath (D&G) to expand its presence in the US market.

D&G, which already has a headquarters in Los Angeles, plans to expand its business area with new clients in the East Coast. D&G, founded in 1999, has won more than 500 awards at major international advertising awards and was acquired by Innocean in 2018.

D&G has been responsible for producing ads for the Super Bowl, the largest sports event in the US watched by more than 100 million viewers, every year with fresh commercials.

In particular, D&G's Kia EV6 ad was ranked first among car brands and fourth among all brands in last year's Super Bowl ad preference survey.

As part of the expansion into New York, D&G plans to explore new markets in the US. The newly opened D&G Brooklyn office has enlisted Fabric Cryptography and Procera Gin as new clients, both of which are emerging brands with a goal of making a positive social impact, according to Innocean.

"D&G Brooklyn will actively create campaigns that consider cultural and social dimensions of sustainability," said David Angelo, CEO of D&G.

Innocean Global CEO Lee Yong-woo introduced the opening of the D&G Brooklyn office as "part of a strategy to expand Innocean's North American network beyond the West Coast."
