Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) is one of the world’s leading alternative asset managers. For more than twenty-five years, MIRA has partnered with investors, governments and communities to manage, develop and enhance assets relied on by more than 100 million people each day. As at 31 March 2020, MIRA managed approximately $US137 billion in assets that are essential to the sustainable development of economies and communities, including; 151 portfolio businesses, ~500 properties and 4.8 million hectares of farmland.

As Global Head of Sustainability, Chris Leslie oversees sustainability strategy and responsible investment for Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), including sustainable investment performance and reporting. Chris also serves on the Investment Committees of Macquarie Infrastructure Partners (MIP) and Macquarie GIG Renewable Energy Fund 2.
Chris joined Macquarie Group in 1992 and served as Chief Executive Officer of MIP from 2005 to 2016. In this role, he managed MIRA’s private North American infrastructure platform and was integral to raising and investing approximately US$9 billion in North American infrastructure.
Chris is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (honours) from the University of Melbourne.
