Kia EV9, the flagship large all-electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) of South Korea’s No. 2 automaker Kia Corp., received five stars in the European New Car Safety Assessment (Euro NCAP), according to the company on Thursday.
Child safety was a major highlight, with the EV9 achieving the highest score in the child protection category of both frontal and side crash tests.
Its strong impact absorption and passenger compartment protection were lauded.
Another notable feature is the EV9's automatic notification upon airbag deployment.
This technology automatically informs the emergency rescue center of crucial details such as the number of occupants and the direction of the collision when the airbags are deployed, expediting critical assistance.
