Samsung Electronics Co. and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding on minimizing damage to the public from spam text messages.
Both sides will share data and cooperate in joint development and operations for running the service for weeding out malicious texts from Samsung smartphones.
For this venture, KISA will compile and assess big data from reported spam and send related information to Samsung Electronics, which create the service based on this data and build an operating environment for use in its smartphones.
KISA said it boosted its response system for to illegal spam by expanding ties with cellphone makers as well as with telecom companies.
