South Korea's HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co. (HD KSOE) on Friday said it has secured its first order this year for two very large liquefied petroleum gas carriers (VLGCs) from the European shipping company worth 303.2 billion won ($230.5 million).
The newly ordered large LPG carriers, with dimensions of 230 meters in length, 32.25 meters in width, and 23.85 meters in height, will be built at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co.'s Ulsan shipyard.
The vessels will be delivered sequentially to the shipowner in the first half of 2027.
The company had previously won orders for 23 out of 39 LPG and ammonia carriers ordered worldwide last year.
