Having trouble charging your electric vehicle at a charging station?
With Hyundai Motor Co.'s automatic EV charging robot, help is just a click away.
The top South Korean automaker on Tuesday unveiled a video featuring an IONIQ 6 being charged by a robot that automatically recognizes the charging port, inserts the charger and disconnects it when the fast charging is complete.

The automatic EV charging robot was developed to operate stably in a range of environments with many different variables such as the charging port's location, weather and obstacles, according to Hyundai.
The robot applies 3D camera-based AI algorithms to accurately connect the charging cable to the port. When charging is done, the driver is notified via their smartphone.
Hyundai will showcase the robot at Seoul Mobility Show 2023, which opens on March 31.
