South Korea's CJ Logistics transported two T-50TH fighter jets, manufactured by Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. (KAI), to Thailand, the company said on Monday.
The jets were shipped from KAI’s headquarters in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province, and delivered to the Royal Thai Air Force’s Takhli Air Base.
The process involved disassembling the jets into key components, including the fuselage, wings, vertical tail wings, and engines.
The logistics spanned domestic land and air transport, unloading at the destination, and reassembly upon arrival.
CJ Logistics used specialized techniques to secure each part, considering weight and balance, while adjusting transport speeds for safe delivery.
The non-vibration vehicles and waterproof covers were used for land transport, while high-strength elastic belts secured the components during air transport.
Transporting defense materials like fighter jets requires strict safety measures and meticulous procedures.
Any damage during transportation could lead to costly delays and impact national credibility.
