Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO), the South Korean state-run utility company, said on Tuesday that it signed a cooperation agreement for the joint promotion of the 765 kV transmission network construction project and related new business ventures with Burns & McDonnell.
The two companies plan to collaborate and enter the 765 kV transmission network project in the US, which has been scaled down since the 1970s but is now being resumed, leveraging Burns & McDonnell’s extensive construction experience and KEPCO’s excellent technical capabilities.
The two firms plan to form a task force to jointly work on proposals and contract negotiations for upcoming 765 kV transmission network construction projects in the US.
