It involves a project for the construction of a new 132-kV UHV power network in the Northern UK, focusing on replacing outdated overhead lines with underground cables to improve the reliability of power supply and increase transmission capacity.
In November last year, Taihan Cable signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Balfour Beatty to facilitate tech sharing and product development and to jointly participate in bids for transmission and distribution network projects in the UK.
The projects valued at over 220 million pounds ($280 million) by 2030.
Before this project, the company had previously secured a contract for a 400-kV UHV power network project valued at around $27 million in the UK.
Balfour Beatty is a leading global infrastructure group with an annual revenue of over $11 billion.
