South Korea's health and beauty store chain CJ Olive Young announced on Thursday that it opened a pop-up store at @cosme Tokyo, Japan’s largest beauty platform, until Dec. 26.
@cosme is a cosmetic specialized online and offline distributor in Japan. It operates more than 30 stores and an online mall in Japan. @cosme Tokyo is a flagship store located in Harajuku.
The concept of CJ Olive Young’s this pop-up is Beauty-Full Christmas. The company will introduce its private brand (PB) products to Japanese customers: Bioheal Boh, Wakemake, Bring Green, and Fillimilli.
CJ Olive Young's four PBs entered the Japanese cosmetic market in 2019. They are housed in @cosme, Plaza, and Loft. These are all the major offline beauty chains in Japan.
CJ Olive Young also sells its products in local giant online shopping malls such as Rakutan and Qoo10 Japan.
The sales of these brands in Japan have shown a steep growth trend, doubling annually on average over the past three years.
As of November this year, they have recorded an increase of about 150% in offline channels alone.
