Hankook Tire & Technology's high-performance tire, the Ventus S1 Evo3, claims the top spot in the braking distance category of the 2023 Summer Tire Test by German car magazine Auto Bild.
The Ventus S1 Evo3 achieved a braking distance of 24.8 meters and 33.3 meters on wet and dry surfaces, respectively, at speeds of 80 km/h and 100 km/h, totaling 58.1 meters. This is compared to the test average of 65.7 meters.
Auto Bild plans to conduct a second test on handling, noise, rolling resistance, aquaplaning and other factors for the top 20 brands that scored high in braking performance, including Hankook Tire, to determine the final ranking.
Since 2019, Hankook Tire's Ventus S1 Evo3 and Ventus S1 Evo SUV have consistently ranked at the highest level in tire performance tests conducted by major European car magazines.
