South Korea's automaking giant Hyundai Motor Co. said on Monday it had launched the country's first mass-produced mobile office bus: the "Universe Mobile Office."
Universe Mobile Office is an office space converted from Hyundai Motor's premium express bus, the Universe, where passengers can move about, work and even take breaks.
It also contains individual workspaces as well as a group collaboration area and a storage space for small meetings.
Individual workspaces are equipped with premium reclining seats, entertainment systems, wireless charging pads, side tables, and storage spaces.
The storage space can be customized to reflect customers' unique needs.
The Universe Mobile Office will be released in a basic 10-seat model, a 13-seat multi-person ride type, a 13-seat workspace expansion type, and a 13-seat mobile and collaboration version.
"We developed the model using the concept of mobility that creates a new futuristic space," said a Hyundai Motor official.
"It will provide customized workspaces by utilizing the advantages of high-speed buses with large spaces," he added.
Hyundai Motor exhibited the Universe Mobile Office at the 2022 Busan International Motor Show in July, and delivered a Universe operational command vehicle to the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motor soccer team to commemorate its K League victory last year.
