K-pop girl group Blackpink’s “Ice Cream” music video exceeded 800 million views on YouTube around 2 a.m. on Nov. 30 local time, its music label YG Entertainment Inc. said on Wednesday.
It is Blackpink’s ninth music video to surpass 800 million views on the streaming giant, following “Ddu-du Ddu-du,” “Kill This Love,” “Boombayah,” “As if It’s Your Last,” “How You Like That” and others.
"Ice Cream" was a collaboration with pop star Selena Gomez. Released in August 2020, it peaked in the top 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in September of the same year.
Blackpink has been on a world tour since late October. The K-pop group completed its US tour earlier this month and will perform in seven European cities – London, Barcelona, Cologne, Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin and Amsterdam – from Nov. 30 to Dec. 22.
