The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) announced on Monday that it signed a memorandum of understanding with domestic food company Ottogi to attract foreign tourists by leveraging K-food.

The two parties will collaborate on marketing initiatives to attract foreign visitors through K-food, develop K-food tourism content, and jointly host online and offline events to draw international tourists.

In March last year, KTO and Ottogi launched a special travel package, Ottogi Delivered to Your Hotel, attracting 300 Japanese tourists.

KTO plans to promote Ottogi products that recreate representative Korean regional dishes at the 2024 Tourism Expo in Tokyo in September.

KTO will run Korean cooking classes for Japanese tourists to coincide with the opening of O’Kitchen Studio’s Busan branch later this year.
