South Korea's agricultural machinery company TYM Corp. announced on Tuesday that it has won a bid project by the Philippine government to supply tractors, exporting 900 units to the local farms.
The Philippine government chose the company's 5825R model for its superior performance in local farming conditions and plans to complete distribution within the first half of this year.
According to the company, Southeast Asia's agricultural machinery market has been dominated by Japanese companies for more than 30 years.
TYM is committed to more than just exporting tractors. The company aims to advance the modernization of Philippine agriculture.
The company intends to collaborate with educational institutions to provide tractors for training and offer internships to develop local talent.
TYM is exploring sustainable initiatives to bolster the local industry and economic development, including establishing a comprehensive value chain with parts and assembly operations.
