South Korea's Hanjin Transportation said on Monday it expanded its global distribution center (GDC) at Incheon International Airport to meet the demand for overseas shopping and domestic express cargo.
Hanjin's previous express customs clearance centers could process about 5,000 cases per hour and up to 1.1 million monthly cases.
This expansion will double its capacity to 2.2 million cases per month.
The expansion of the company's GDC optimized the space configuration by applying a layout design that considered connectivity and compatibility with existing customs facilities.
Hanjin's GDC was equipped to handle ultra-small and vinyl cargo, and efficient customs clearance procedures were established.
