Kakao Enterprise, a leading IT platform business operator in South Korea, recently announced its "Matching 2.0" strategy to enhance the quality of services offered to shippers and member logistics centers through an AI logistics service known as "Kakao i LaaS (logistics-as-a-service)."
The strategy aims to increase platform productivity by expanding non-contact services, maximizing user convenience through AI logistics technology and boosting the provision of logistics information.
Kakao i LaaS has introduced a new "Smart Estimate Deal" service, enabling users to compare multiple distribution centers through computer or mobile without the need for in-person visits. Additionally, a virtual reality warehouse tour service has been introduced.
Shippers can also benefit from a feature to "compare warehouses of interest," which enables them to compare logistics center information, such as product types (e.g., frozen, refrigerated, and room temperature), delivery service types (e.g., at-dawn and same-day delivery), area, facilities, storage and work services, and auxiliary facilities.
Kakao Enterprise plans to hold a new promotional sign-up event for Kakao i LaaS product sellers until Mar. 10.
"We will do our best to expand our logistics network based on the Kakao i-LaaS platform," said Kim Won-tae, head of Kakao Enterprise's LaaS division.
