Samsung SDS Co., the information technology service unit of Samsung Group, is taking its smart logistics platform, Cello Square, to China to offer local exporters automated shipping and delivery services.
The South Korean IT service provider said on Wednesday it launched the service in China earlier this month and plans to take it to other countries this year.
The Cello Square 4.0 platform, which Samsung unveiled last year, utilizes digital technology such as big data, artificial intelligence, the internet of things and blockchain to analyze the type of cargo and suggest optimal logistics solutions, the company said.
Companies can track and monitor the status of their cargo in real-time, and payments are made automatically when the cargo arrives at its destination, it said.

Samsung said Amazon Seller customers will also be able to use the Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) inventory management system on the Cello Square platform.
At the Samsung SDS Cello Square Conference 2022 held on Wednesday, company executives said they will initially launch the smart logistics platform in China and Southeast Asia and then take it globally.
Samsung SDS, which ventured into the logistics business in 2012, also showcased at the conference a cloud-based work automation system, Brity RPA, and big data analysis platform Brightics AI.
