Lotte Wellfood, Studio Dragon to collaborate on K-contents

South Korea's Lotte Wellfood Co. announced on Friday that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with K-drama producer Studio Dragon to collaborate on content creation and marketing efforts for the global market.

This is the first business agreement between a food company and a content production company, and Lotte Wellfood expects this will create global synergies between K-snacks and K-contents.

Lotte Wellfood plans to conduct marketing activities linked to major works produced by Studio Dragon and launch specially planned products.

Studio Dragon has produced numerous hit series, including Queen of Tears, The Glory, Mr. Sunshine, Hotel Del Luna, and Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.

Lotte Wellfood operates eight subsidiaries in seven countries, with global sales reaching 1 trillion won ($737 million) annually.
