Asicland Co., South Korea's only design house contracted by TSMC, said on Monday that it launched a local subsidiary in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
The Taiwanese subsidiary is an advanced research and development (R&D) center established to secure 3 nanometers (equal to 1 billionth of a meter, nm) and 5nm design technologies and advanced packaging technology known as a chip on wafer on substrate (CoWoS).
The company has recruited local Taiwanese talent with experience in 2nm and 3nm design experience to strengthen its technological capabilities.
