Boy band BTS' Jungkook's solo song “Seven - Explicit Ver.” has been certified “Platinum” in the streaming category by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), the agency Big Hit Music announced on Friday.
The explicit version of “Seven” has been certified Platinum in the streaming category after accumulating more than 100 million plays as of August.
The RIAJ certifies songs as Gold (50 million or more plays), Platinum (100 million or more plays), or Diamond (500 million or more plays) based on the cumulative number of plays.
“Seven” features witty lyrics about wanting to be with loved one for a whole week.
The song was released in both a clean version and an explicit version with more bold expressions for a lover.
Jungkook holds a total of three platinum certifications for “Seven,” including the explicit version, the clean version and “Euphoria”.
