HL Mando Corp., an electric vehicle and self-driving system developing unit of South Korea's HL Group, announced on Thursday that it signed a business agreement for the commercialization of autonomous parking robot services with Kakao Mobility Corp. and KM Parking & Space Inc.
Under the MOU, the three companies plan to form a joint task force team and work together to build a next-generation total parking service.
HL Mando will handle the operation of the parking robot Parkie, while Kakao Mobility will be responsible for the control system based on digital twin technology.
KM Parking & Space, a subsidiary of Kakao Mobility, will be in charge of the construction and operation of smart parking lots. Additionally, the Kakao T app will help connect the three companies.
