South Korea's Hana Bank announced on Tuesday that it has signed a business agreement with robo-advisor company Fount Investment Co. to launch a retirement pension service applying digital technology.
Robo-advisor is an online asset management service that manages portfolios through big data instead of human private bankers. Fount Investment is a fintech company providing investment trust and advisory services using robo-advisor technology.
Hana Bank and Fount Investment have agreed to collaborate in the future through the financial regulatory sandbox system to introduce delegated robo-advisor services for retirement pension savings scheduled to be implemented.
In addition, reflecting the increasing interest of customers in retirement pension management strategies, they plan to introduce various retirement pension-specialized services applying innovative digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms.
