SK Enmove gets gold rating of EcoVadis ESG evaluation

South Korea’s lube oil maker SK Enmove Co., Korea’s top oil refiner SK Innovation Co.'s subsidiary, said on Thursday it received a Gold rating from EcoVadis, the agency for the evaluation of the global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) supply chain assessment.

EcoVadis, the world’s largest sustainability assessment firm, evaluates over 130,000 companies in 180 countries across four categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Companies are awarded Platinum (top 1%), Gold (top 5%), Silver (top 15%), and Bronze (top 35%) ratings.

In its first EcoVadis evaluation, SK Enmove received the highest scores in labor, human rights, and ethics, earning the Gold rating.

To bolster its ESG efforts, SK Enmove has developed a long-term roadmap and publishes an annual ESG report to share its sustainability activities and performance with stakeholders transparently.

The company also issues a Human Rights Management Report each year. It follows a ‘Human Rights Due Diligence Process’ to identify, prevent, and mitigate any negative impacts from its business activities.

In 2022, South Korea’s Ministry of Gender Equality and Family certified it as a family-friendly company.
