Samsung OLED gaming monitor sales surpass 20,000 units

Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Monday that its sales of the new Odyssey OLED gaming monitor series have surpassed 20,000 units in a month.

The company's gaming monitor lineup has gained popularity in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia

Samsung Electronics' new gaming monitors feature proprietary burn-in prevention technologies, Samsung OLED Safeguard+ and OLED Glare Free, designed to minimize light reflection and ensure long-lasting display quality.

The Odyssey OLED series includes the G8 (32-inch, 240Hz refresh rate) with 4K UHD resolution and the G6 (27-inch, 360Hz refresh rate) with QHD resolution.

Both models offer a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 0.03ms (GtG) response time, and a standard brightness of 250 nits, providing clear visuals and smooth gameplay.

The G8 model is equipped with Samsung Electronics' NQ8 AI third-generation processor, which can upscale content to near-4K when used with smart TV apps.

According to market research firm IDC, Samsung Electronics has maintained its position as the global leader in the OLED monitor market in both value and volume terms, continuing its dominance from last year into the first quarter of this year.
