Samsung releases 2024 lineup of gaming monitors

Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Tuesday that it launched its new 2024 lineup of gaming monitors, Odyssey OLED, and high-resolution monitors, ViewFinity.

The new OLED gaming monitors include two models: the Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) with 4K UHD resolution and the Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD) with QHD resolution.

The Odyssey OLED series incorporates Samsung Electronics' proprietary burn-in prevention technology, Samsung OLED Safe Guard+, for the first time.

It features OLED Glare-Free technology, verified by the American safety certification agency UL, to reduce light reflection from external sources.

The Odyssey OLED G8 is equipped with the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, making it Samsung’s first OLED gaming monitor to offer 4K AI upscaling.

This allows users to enjoy content to nearly 4K when using Samsung Gaming Hub or Smart TV apps for higher resolution in gaming and entertainment.

The new ViewFinity series includes five models, utilizing at least 10% plastic materials.

The packaging is designed with adhesive instead of staples, making it easier to recycle.

Moreover, these monitors feature an Easy Setup Stand, enabling quick and convenient installation without tools or screws.

They also offer adjustable height and tilt, and come with a built-in KVM switch to control two PCs with one monitor, enhancing work efficiency.
