HD Hyundai affiliates participate in Mining Indonesia 2024

South Korea's HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Co. and HD Hyundai Infracore Co. announced on Wednesday that they participated in Mining Indonesia 2024, Asia's largest mining equipment exhibition, held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The exhibition, which runs from Wednesday to Saturday, features over 1,300 global mining equipment companies.

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore each set up booths spanning 900 square meters each to showcase their lineup of mining equipment, including ultra-large excavators.

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment displayed a 100-ton ultra-large excavator and a 50-ton large excavator equipped with a "rock ripper," used for breaking hard rocks or ground, which were launched in the Indonesian market. The company also exhibited a wide-body dump truck for mining and a 30-ton large excavator.

HD Hyundai Infracore showcased a 100-ton ultra-large excavator, a 53-ton medium-large crawler excavator, wheel loaders, mining dump trucks, and articulated dump trucks.

Both companies recorded a combined market share of approximately 7% in the Indonesian construction equipment market in the first half of this year. Their goal is to secure a double-digit market share within the next five years.

Indonesia has an increasing demand for mining equipment due to its abundant mineral resources, including nickel, which holds the world's largest reserves and production volume, tin, and cobalt.

According to the global market research firm Research and Markets, the Indonesian mining equipment market is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 4.2%, from 28,568 units this year to 36,510 units by 2029.
