South Korea's bioplasma technology firm Plasmapp announced on Friday that it has signed a product supply contract worth 16.4 billion won ($12.3 million) targeting Japan's large-scale distribution companies and the dental market in Japan.
According to the company, the latest supply contract pertains to the overseas version of Plasmapp's sterilizer Sterlink Lite, which was launched in South Korea earlier this summer. Several CEOs and key executives from major Japanese distribution companies visited Plasmapp in person to sign the contract. Subsequently, they toured Plasmapp's R&D center and production facilities to discuss key initiatives for expanding the Japanese market.
"Sterlink Lite, launched in June this year, quickly expanded its market in South Korea by securing contracts for over 500 units within just two months of its release," a Plasmapp source said. "Signing large-scale contracts with leading Japanese companies from the initial stages of development for the overseas version of the product is a testament to the high market response to this new product."
"The product is scheduled for official release at Japan's largest dental exhibition, taking place in Yokohama from Sept. 27 to 30. Additionally, our surface treatment device Actlink Reborn will also be introduced at the event," he added.
