Kolmar Korea, a supplier to global cosmetics brands such as Estee Lauder, announced on Friday that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sensient Beauty to develop new pigments and ingredients.
Sensient Beauty is the world's largest color cosmetics ingredient developer with a 140-year history. It has about 40 color research facilities worldwide.
The two companies will develop various color cosmetics demanded by today's global cosmetic market.
Sensient Beauty will provide Kolmar Korea with new pigments that have not yet been introduced to the market, and Kolmar Korea will use these pigments to develop products tailored to market trends.
Sensient Beauty proposed this agreement in light of Kolmar Korea's expanding influence in the global ODM market.
The increase in overseas expansion of indie brands collaborating with Kolmar Korea has also contributed to the growing demand for new and diverse colors targeting the global market.
Kolmar Korea plans to develop new pigments and ingredients with Sensient Beauty to help their clients target the diverse tastes of consumers.
