South Korea’s top beauty chain CJ Olive Young on Monday launched the premium store Lux Edit online to roll out products from both big names and indie brands not well known to the domestic public.
First, Luxe Edit sells 34 premium brands including seven new. Philip B., a hair care line launched by celebrity Hollywood stylist Philip Berkovitz, and fellow American brand Olaplex, which is growingly popular abroad, are among the big names.
From 2021 to last year, Olive Young's revenue from premium cosmetics rose an annual average of 36%. In addition to online sales, Luxe Edit has separate zones for premium cosmetics at major stores nationwide.
