Shinhan Financial opens new headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City

South Korea's Shinhan Financial Group opened a new headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Shinhan Financial held an inauguration ceremony for the new headquarters on August 15 in Thu Thiem, Ho Chi Minh City.

The new headquarters will house over 1,200 employees from five Shinhan Financial Group companies: Shinhan Bank, Shinhan Card, Shinhan Securities, Shinhan Life, and Shinhan DS.

The group aims to strengthen collaboration among its subsidiaries and boost its regional competitiveness.

Shinhan Financial Group has seen a strong overseas performance this year, with Vietnam at the center.

In the first half of this year, the group's global profit amounted to 401.8 billion won ($298 million), an increase of 91.5 billion won (32.4%) compared to the same period last year (310.3 billion won).
