South Korea's low-cost carrier Eastar Jet announced on Friday that it will be the first domestic budget airline to introduce the Fuel Analytics program to improve fuel efficiency.
Fuel Analytics is a program developed by aircraft manufacturer Boeing that analyzes the fuel consumption patterns of each phase of flight and provides solutions for fuel savings.
The program monitors the entire process of aircraft takeoff and landing, allowing the establishment of fuel-saving strategies.
After each flight, fuel efficiency improvement measures can be identified using the dashboard analysis tool.
Eastar Jet expects that utilizing the program will improve fuel efficiency by up to 4.3% annually.
