LIG Nex1 Co., a leading South Korean defense contractor, is teaming up with US artificial intelligence (AI) specialist Palantir Technologies to develop advanced weapon systems leveraging big data.
LIG Nex1 said it expects Palantir’s platform, known for its ability to integrate, manage, and analyze large datasets, will be instrumental in developing future weapon systems where software is a critical component.
By combining Palantir’s technology with its expertise in unmanned systems including Sea Sword (unmanned surface vehicle), space, and electronic warfare, LIG Nex1 aims to bolster its research and development capabilities for future battlefields.
