South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) launched financial education for foreign residents at specialized bank branches for foreigners.

The financial watchdog said on Tuesday that it set up promotional materials featuring financial education content for foreigners at 88 specialized bank branches nationwide.

The materials include information in eight languages about the financial education content, QR codes that link to a Financial Life Guidebook for Foreigners, and financial lifestyle videos.

The guidebook provides essential information for foreigners living in South Korea, such as how to use banking services, while the financial lifestyle videos feature consultations between foreigners and financial experts.

The FSS stated that foreign visitors to the bank branches can access financial education content via notices and QR codes in their native languages.

These specialized branches are bank outlets that provide services such as holiday operations and interpretation to accommodate the increasing number of foreign workers.
