Kakao Mobility Corp., South Korea’s largest taxi-hailing app operator, announced on Friday that it signed a business agreement with Samsung C&T Corp. on Wednesday.

The agreement aims to expand the application of Kakao Mobility’s robot solution Bring into residential spaces.

The two companies plan to build a standardized environment for services like delivery and cleaning based on Kakao Mobility's Bring solution.

They will collaborate to develop specialized services for residential and building spaces managed through Samsung C&T's residential platform Homeniq and building platform Bynd to shape future residential cultures.

Kakao Mobility stated that this agreement establishes a foundation to extend Bring, previously applied in hotels and multi-use office spaces to residential areas.

The range of services provided by Bring will now expand from indoor delivery to include cleaning, outdoor delivery, and valet parking.

Since April, Kakao Mobility has been diversifying BRING’s service environments, starting with Noudit Seoul Forest in Seongsu-dong, and later in August at the resort Restree Resom in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province.

The two companies will collaborate through Kakao Mobility’s Kakao T Parking and Samsung C&T’s residential and building platform businesses to develop and pilot smart parking, charging infrastructure, and robot valet parking services.

They plan to optimize the system by conducting large-scale pilot tests initially with over 20 robots at two newly built Raemian apartment complexes.
