HD Hyundai to show unmanned construction equipment tech

South Korea's HD Hyundai XiteSolution said on Thursday that it plans to hold a demo show with remote control (RC) models of construction equipment and experience event, at the 12th "Korea International Construction Equipment Exhibition" from October 24 to 27 at KINTEX in Gyeonggi Province.
The RC models in the demo show will include excavators, wheel loaders, forklifts, and articulated dump trucks—products currently mass-produced and sold by HD Hyundai's three construction machinery companies.
Each model accurately replicates the dynamics and hydraulic systems of the actual equipment.
To enhance the realism of the RC demo show, HD Hyundai XiteSolution will also create a diorama measuring 9 meters wide and 5 meters long.
The diorama, designed with a Mars exploration concept, will feature obstacles like craters and rocks, structures that showcase individual tasks such as excavation, lifting, and transportation, collaboration between equipment.
Visitors can participate in the experience by controlling the RC models themselves.
HD Hyundai XiteSolution plans to bring educational equipment from its Virtual Training Center at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center to the KINTEX exhibition hall during the event, allowing general attendees to experience the training firsthand.
In addition, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore will offer mini excavator ride and operation experiences, a science class on how excavators work, a kids’ zone with hinoki cypress wood activities, and a construction equipment trick art photo zone at their respective booths.
