2024 Osstem Meeting Seoul

South Korea's Osstem Implant Co., the world’s fourth-largest dental implant maker, will enhance its software system of digital dentistry.

At its 2024 Osstem Meeting Seoul, held from September 7 to 8 at its headquarters in Magok, Seoul, the company laid out plans to expand its digital services.

Digital dentistry, which refers to the digitization of dental procedures, enables dental practices to use oral scanners and 3D imaging software to gain a comprehensive view of a patient's tooth structure.

This technology allows for more precise analysis of factors such as gum bone height and width.

Osstem Implant also implements digital computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) to improve the accuracy of implant prosthetics.

The company said it would speed up the establishment of a digital dentistry framework, leveraging extensive treatment data to provide personalized consultation materials and automate treatment planning.

Osstem Implant aims to develop a streamlined system where patient communication, consultations, treatment history, and payment information are clearly organized and easily accessible.
