K-pop girl group aespa is aiming to follow up its hit song “Supernova” with a string of hits with its new album “Whiplash."

Management agency SM Entertainment announced on Monday that aespa will release its fifth mini album “Whiplash” on Oct. 21.

The album will feature six songs of various genres, including the title track of the same name.

Aespa plans to continue the successful vibe of its previous works with music with a unique color.

The title track “Supernova” from her first full-length album “Armageddon,” which was released in May, was a huge success, topping the weekly charts on music platform Melon for 15 consecutive weeks.

In addition to the release of the new album, aespa will also be expanding its world tour “SYNK: PARALLEL LINE” to North and South America and Europe.
