LG CNS Co., a cloud computing services arm of South Korea's LG Corp., announced on Wednesday that it achieved the AWS Generative AI Competency from Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This certification is part of the AWS Competency Program, a specialized initiative that validates the expertise of software-building and service-providing partners across various industry use cases and workloads.

The AWS Competency Program covers diverse fields, including cloud operations, DevOps, and data analytics.

The generative AI (GenAI) field was newly introduced to the program in December last year. AWS Generative AI Competency partners support enterprises in quickly adopting GenAI solutions, strategically positioning them for the future.

To receive the competency certification, companies must qualify as either an AWS Premier Tier Partner or an AWS Advanced Tier Partner and demonstrate successful project cases of providing generative AI services to enterprise customers.

In 2022, LG CNS attained the highest partner level with AWS, AWS Premier Tier Partner status.

In addition to this achievement, LG CNS has customized AWS' GenAI services for enterprise clients by integrating specialized technologies such as fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and prompt engineering.

LG CNS also operates the AWS Launch Center, a team of experts specialized in applying generative AI and app modernization technologies tailored to AWS at client sites.
