South Korea's Hyundai AutoEver Corp. announced on Thursday that it obtained the international standard Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) Level 3 certification from TUV Rheinland, the Germany-based global testing and certification organization.

CSMS is a certification scheme to manage risk factors from vehicle design to production and end-of-life. It demonstrates that vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers have objective procedures to ensure cybersecurity.

Starting from July this year, only vehicles certified with CSMS will be allowed to be sold in the 56 countries that are signatories to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) agreement.

Hyundai AutoEver obtained CSMS Level 2 certification in May 2022.
