BMW Korea announced on Tuesday that it unveiled the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sedan model The New 530e in the domestic market.

According to BMW Korea, The New 530e combines the efficiency of a high-performance hybrid powertrain with the eco-friendliness of a pure electric vehicle (EV).

It works in conjunction with a 190-horsepower BMW TwinPower Turbo engine, delivering a maximum output of 299 horsepower.

The electric driving range has also been extended. The New 530e is equipped with a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 18.7 kWh, allowing it to travel up to a maximum of 73 km on a single charge (certified by the Ministry of Environment).

This represents a 62% increase compared to the previous generation (45 km).

With a fuel tank capacity of 60 liters, The New 530e can travel up to a maximum of 751 km based on the certified combined fuel efficiency of 15.9 km per liter.

It offers a trunk space of 520 liters, similar to gasoline and diesel models.
