The headquarters of KB Bank in Jakarta, Indonesia

Bank KB Bukopin, an Indonesian subsidiary of KB Kookmin Bank, announced on Monday that it rebranded as KB Bank.

The corporate name PT Bank KB Bukopin remains unchanged.

KB Kookmin Bank secured in August 2020 management control by acquiring a 67% stake in Indonesia's Bank Bukopin and entered the local banking market. The bank was operated under the name KB Bukopin.

However, with confidence that the KB brand alone, excluding the widely recognized name Bukopin, would be well received locally, the decision was made to rebrand as KB Bank.

KB Bank plans to introduce new financial services supporting emerging industries such as electric vehicles and the healthcare sector, as well as contributing to the agricultural economic ecosystem.

The bank also intends to offer new forms of mobile-based credit products.

KB Bank aims to strengthen its corporate social responsibility role, collaborating with nine affiliated companies in areas such as securities, credit cards, insurance, consumer financing, and asset management.
