South Korea's Hana Bank announced on Monday that it launched the Hana Certificate service in 16 languages.

The service is available through the Hana EZ app for foreigners staying in South Korea.

Through the multilingual issuance support service, foreign residents in South Korea can obtain Hana Certification on the Hana EZ app without language barriers.

In addition to financial transactions, the certification can be used for contactless services with public agencies, such as year-end tax settlement and inquiries about joining the four major public insurance schemes.

Hana Bank also introduced a service on the Hana EZ app that allows foreigners who have an alien registration card for stays exceeding 90 days, after using their passport number for financial transactions, to change the alien registration card number to the real-name number without visiting a branch office.
