Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Thursday that it will release its new fitness band, the Galaxy Fit3.

The device features an expansive 40mm display, 45% larger than its predecessors, encased in a robust aluminum body for added durability.

It introduces a user-friendly feature that allows for the quick swapping of watch bands with a simple one-click mechanism, enabling users to easily customize their look.

The Galaxy Fit3 provides health monitoring features for over 100 types of exercises, sleep, and stress levels.

It also includes a battery that can last up to 13 days on a single charge.

A notable first for the Galaxy Fit series with the Fit3 is the inclusion of fall detection and an emergency SOS feature.

In the event of a fall, the device can make an emergency call to a preset number for quick assistance.

Additionally, pressing the side button five times sends out an SOS message in case of emergency.

The connectivity experience with Galaxy smartphones has been enhanced.

The Galaxy Fit3 offers a camera remote control function, allowing users to take photos directly from their wrist-connected smartphone, and supports media control functions for managing media playback on the smartphone.

Users can synchronize "Do Not Disturb" or "Sleep Mode" with their connected smartphone, and it also provides a "Find My Phone" feature that can locate the smartphone or use the smartphone to find the Galaxy Fit3.

The Galaxy Fit3 will be available in three colors: Gray, Silver, and Pink Gold. It will be released sequentially in some countries in Europe, Asia, and Latin America starting from Feb. 23.
