South Korean government will raise the duty-free limit of perfume from 60 ml to 100 ml in January 2024.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced on Wednesday that from midnight on Jan. 1 next year, the duty-free limit for perfume among personal items brought in by international travelers will be increased from the current 60 ml to 100 ml.

Considering the increasing demand for large-volume perfumes and the convenience of travelers, the customs regulations will be revised, the ministry added.

With the latest revision, consumers will have an expanded choice as they can purchase duty-free large-volume perfumes or set products at a lower price.

The current duty-free limit for perfume has been maintained at 60 ml since 1979.
