CJ Foodville, the food subsidiary of South Korea's CJ Group, announced on Tuesday its bakery chain brand Tous Les Jours has opened its first store in Calgary, Canada.

Canada is the seventh country of overseas expansion. The store is located in H-Mart, a popular supermarket chain that specializes in Asian food in Calgary.

Tous Les Jours aims to open 120 stores by this year and 1,000 stores by 2030 in North America. The brand will open more stores in Toronto and Vancouver.

In August, Tous Les Jours celebrated its expansion in the US, its first overseas market, by launching its 100th store near Manhattan, New York, in Bronxville. CJ Foodville plans to build a bakery plant in Georgia, the US by 2025.

The completion of the Georgia plant will allow the brand to more efficiently respond to the rapid pace of demand growth in North America.

Tous Les Jours began its overseas expansion in 2004, starting with the US. In September this year, The brand's overseas stores surpassed 400 including the US, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, and Mongolia.
