South Korea's Samyang Foods Co. announced on Friday it began to release the new export-exclusive product of Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen, or Buldak Ramen " TomYum Buldak Ramen" in the US.
TomYum Buldak Ramen combines the traditional Thai dish Tom Yum with Samyang's fiery chicken stir-fried ramen. It blends the spicy and sour taste of Tom Yum with the flavor of Buldak Ramen, resulting in a tantalizingly tangy yet sweet and spicy broth.
The dish also retains the characteristic fragrance of Tom Yum by using various spices like lime and coriander.
This new product is specifically developed targeting the Asian population in the US as well as locals who have a preference for Asian cuisines. Samyang Foods continues to diversify its product range to reflect the multicultural and diverse nature of the American market.
Previously, for those unaccustomed to very spicy flavors, Samyang introduced Buldak Corn Bokkumyun. They also targeted the Hispanic population with the launch of Habanero Lime Buldak Ramen.
With Samyang America, the US sales subsidiary that began operations last year, aggressively expanding its distribution network, Samyang Foods is keen on strengthening its product portfolio to quickly broaden its foothold in the US market.
